As it is a prominent non-profit in our community, you have probably heard of The Make-A-Wish Foundation®. But are you fully aware of what they do? Since 1980, Make-A-Wish® has been granting the wishes of children battling life-threatening medical conditions. The Foundation’s goal is to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Experiencing a wish can be life-changing not only for the children and families involved, but also for the local volunteers, donors, and wish sponsors who work to help these special children see their dreams become a reality. Through the efforts of donors and sponsors over the last 25 years, The Make-A-Wish Foundation® has been able to grant over 127,000 wishes worldwide.
The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is contributing to these efforts again through the Eighth Annual Design a Wish 5k. IIDA is a professional networking and educational association committed to enhancing the quality of life through excellence in interior design. Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to IIDA and fifty percent will go to the The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-South.
We thank you for your support in contributing to this endeavor to help enhance the lives of many in our region.
